SENATOR LIMÓN NAMED CHAIR OF THE SENATE DEMOCRATIC CAUCUS

(SACRAMENTO) Senator Limón released the following statement in response to her appointment as the Chair of the California State Senate Caucus: 

“I am honored by the confidence Pro Tem Atkins has placed in me to lead our Democratic Caucus. Our caucus represents different and diverse parts of our state: inland, coastal, rural, urban, and so much more. 

I look forward to working alongside Pro Tem Atkins, Senate leadership and my colleagues to collectively address some of the challenges our state has and to represent the values Californians hold dear.”

Monique Limón represents the 19th Senate District, which includes Santa Barbara, Ventura, Goleta, Buellton, Carpinteria, Guadalupe, Lompoc, Santa Maria, Solvang, Camarillo, Fillmore, Ojai, Oxnard, Santa Paula, and Port Hueneme. She currently serves as the Chair of the Senate Banking and Financial Institutions Committee.
