(SANTA BARBARA) Senator Monique Limón (D-Santa Barbara), Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin (D-Thousand Oaks), and Assemblymember Bennett (D-Ventura) presented two checks Friday with a total of $1 million dollar to support the Youth Apprenticeship Readiness Accelerator Program  program in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.




(OXNARD) Senator Monique Limón (D-Santa Barbara) and Assemblymember Bennett (D-Ventura) presented two checks for a total of $13 million dollars to Ventura County Officials on Wednesday. These investments will be used to create more transitional and permanent supportive housing, and help fund the modernization of the Nyeland Acres Community Center.

(SACRAMENTO) – The Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act, authored by Senator Monique Limón (D-Santa Barbara) has been signed into law. The Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act helps narrow gender and racial wealth gaps by giving workers the tools they need to advocate for a salary that supports themselves and their families.

(SACRAMENTO) – Senator Monique Limón (D-Santa Barbara) introduced SB 1162 to help close the wage gap by requiring the disclosure of salary ranges on all job postings, and to make employer internal promotional opportunities available to current employees. SB 1162 also requires companies to publically report pay data broken down by race, ethnicity, and sex for both direct employees and employees hired through a third-party staffing agency.
