(SACRAMENTO) — Earlier today, Senator Monique Limón held a press conference to introduce Senate Bill 584: The Laborforce Housing Fund alongside the State Building and Construction Trades Council of California. This bill will establish an ongoing funding source for local governments to create needed low-income and middle-income housing units across California.




(SACRAMENTO) — Earlier today, Senator Limón (D- Santa Barbara) and a broad coalition of 140+ grassroots advocacy organizations held a press conference in support of SB 846, a bill that would remove barriers to voter registration for millions of Californians.  

SB 846 would upgrade California’s current Partial AVR system to a Secure AVR model, which would register approximately 4 million more people to vote, including underrepresented communities, people of color, women, and other hard to reach populations. 




(SACRAMENTO) – Today, Senator Monique Limón introduced legislation to enhance wildfire mitigation efforts by expanding statewide prescribed grazing efforts. Over the last decade, California has been subjected to the most dangerous, destructive, and environmentally hazardous wildfires in the history of the state. 




(SACRAMENTO) – Senator Monique Limón will introduce legislation to protect the integrity of workplace state mandated training and to stop the misuse of worker funds to lobby against worker’s rights and increased worker protections.  




(SACRAMENTO) – Today, Senator Monique Limn and Assembly Majority Leader Eloise Gómez Reyes (D- Colton) introduced legislation to address the growing child care crisis. This legislation seeks to make child care more affordable for families while also increasing provider pay. 




(SANTA BARBARA) Today, Senator Monique Limón joined Governor Gavin Newsom, elected officials, National Guard Troops, and local organizations to survey damage from last weekend’s atmospheric rivers, and joined efforts to prepare for upcoming storms. The Governor also announced that he has requested a Major Disaster Declaration from President Biden, making necessary resources available to our local governments as the state prepares for recovery efforts.
