Jackson, Women's Caucus Chair, Issues Statement on Planned Parenthood Attacks

July 27, 2015

SACRAMENTO – State Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson (D-Santa Barbara), chair of the California Legislative Women’s Caucus, released the following statement today on the recent attacks and harassment directed at Planned Parenthood:

“The recent attacks on Planned Parenthood are not just an unwarranted assault and violation of an organization, but represent a dangerous attempt to undermine the reproductive rights and healthcare of all women and families by anti-abortion activists who apparently will stop at nothing to advance their ideological agenda. I commend Attorney General Kamala Harris for her willingness to investigate the undercover videos and possible violations of state law. California has always been a national leader in promoting access to reproductive healthcare.  We must remain steadfast in our defense of women’s healthcare and reproductive rights.”
