Every year, the California Legislature honors women in their districts who have contributed to the rich history of the Golden State and made a lasting impact on the future of women. This year I am so excited to announce to you all our 2023 Woman of the Year, Former Bantamweight World Champion, Graciela Casillas!

The California Earned Income Tax Credit


The California Earned Income Tax Credit, or CalEITC, is a state program that puts money back into the pockets of taxpayers. Qualifying families could get up to $3,160 back and a worker without children could receive up to $255 just by filing taxes this year.

Moms Demand Webinar


This month I will be hosting a gun safety and mental health town hall with Moms Demand Action and local mental health providers. With recent mass shootings in California it is critical that we talk about ways to prevent unnecessary gun violence, including uplifting mental health resources in our community.
