MEDIA ADVISORY: Senator Limόn to Introduce Legislation to Protect Workers from Funding Corporate Lobbying

(SACRAMENTO) – Senator Monique Limón will introduce legislation to protect the integrity of workplace state mandated training and to stop the misuse of worker funds to lobby against worker’s rights and increased worker protections.  

After the shocking report by the New York Times, Senator Limón will bring together a coalition of work advocates, unions, and restaurant workers, including President of One Fair Wage and Director of the Food Labor Research Center at University of California, Berkeley, Saru Jayaraman to announce this critical legislation. 
Actions and rallies will also take place in Michigan, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Maryland, and Puerto Rico on the busiest restaurant day of the year to put an end to worker funded corporate lobbying.
