VENTURA – State Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson (D-Santa Barbara) will host a workshop on Friday, March 6 to help members of the business community understand the process for applying for income tax credits so they can locate, stay and grow in our communities.

The workshop, also hosted by the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, at the Ventura College Wright Event Center, 4667 Telegraph Rd., Ventura.

SACRAMENTO – Democratic members of the California Legislative Women’s Caucus today announced plans for legislation to address the wage gap that women face at work. Today, the chair of the Women’s Caucus, Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson (D-Santa Barbara) introduced Senate Bill 358, the California Fair Pay Act, which will strengthen California’s equal pay laws to ensure that women are paid equally for work that is comparable to their male colleagues and do not face retaliation if they discuss or ask about pay at work.
