Cosmopolitan: CA Just Became the Best State for Working Women

October 09, 2015

California just became one of the most progressive states in the country after it signed a bill for what some are calling the strongest equal pay law in the country,Los Angeles Times reports

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, women working full-time in California are currently paid an average 84 cents for every dollar a man makes, and Gov. Jerry Brown is aiming to change that by signing this bill to give employees more opportunities to challenge what they believe might be gender discrimination without retaliation from their bosses.
