Jackson to Host Public Office Hours and Business Tax Credit Workshop in Santa Paula on July 23

SANTA PAULA – State Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson (D-Santa Barbara) will be hosting two events on Thursday, July 23 in Santa Paula.

In the morning, she will host a California Competes Business Tax Credit Workshop to help members of the business community understand the process for applying for income tax credits so they can locate, stay and grow in the community. The workshop, also hosted by the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Limoneira Visitor Center, 1141 Cummings Rd., Santa Paula, CA 93060.

 

The California Competes Program provides upwards of $31 million in tax credits. Small, medium, and large businesses are encouraged to attend the workshop and receive free instruction on how to apply for this tax credit program available from the state.

Later that morning, from 11:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m, Jackson will be also be hosting public office hours at Rabalais’ Bistro & Bakery, located at 861 E. Main St. Santa Paula, CA 93060. Office hours are a convenient way for constituents to seek assistance and meet with Jackson to share their issues and concerns during their lunch hour.

Jackson represents the 19th Senate District, which includes all of Santa Barbara County and western Ventura County.
